JOHN LENNON "CATHEDRALS"

from $49.99

The year was 1968. John Lennon and The Beatles were, once again, going through many changes. Just back from NYC, where John and Paul McCartney introduced their new company, Apple, the gateway to their own individual existence became evident. The Fabs, constant in shedding their boy-ish skin to become men of melody making music history, were always painting new horizons. This time the new color was simply… WHITE.

None more evident than the chameleon-styles of John Lennon, the flower power psychedelics and god-like Sexy Sadies were laid to rest and stripped of all their invisible senses (and nonsenses)… to be replaced by the captivating walls inside the "cathedrals" within newfound divine enlightenment… in the Church of Heroin.

This painting is in a private collection.
